When I decided to make these socks, I wanted to use the "Amazing" yarn because I thought it would look amazing (which it does). I love the color variations! The problem is that the amazing yarn is a little thicker than the fingering yarn I should be using, which makes the knitting a lot harder (though I have successfully kept it at the right gage). This will make for super thick, warm socks, but it has taken me a while to knit what I've gotten done so far, mostly because my fingers begin to ache as I work on them.
The other issue is that, as this is a complicated pattern, I can't take it with me "on the go"; I have to have time where I can sit, focus and knit. I can listen to audiobooks while I work on them, but I can't really talk to anyone (which means it doesn't go to knit group with me). I don't know when I will finish these, but whenever it is, I can't wait to wear them!
